                                                         David Haight

I am going to demonstrate a pattern that I use for winter steelhead.  It is a heavily-weighted Woolly Bugger that I tie in colors suitable for steelhead.  I especially like to use it on small coastal streams, like the Winchuck River, where I need a fly that will sink quickly into the pockets around boulders.  I dead-drift the fly through the pockets, and then let it swing across the tail-out.

My favorite color is the pink and purple version . This is the one which I will demonstrate.

I also tie it in a variety of colors .
