Dear SOFT fly tyers and donors. WaterWatch very much appreciates the flies that you tie and donate every year. They bring in a considerable amount of funding at the annual WaterWatch auction and are very much appreciated by all those who get to view them and bid on them. In order to better facilitate getting the flies inserted in fly boxes and getting them to the auction committee in time for them to be properly processed in a timely manner, SOFT is adopting the following guidelines.
Flies need to be turned in by the second Tuesday of May, which is our final meeting before we break for the summer. Any flies turned in after that date will be carried over to the following year. Flies don't need to be in fly boxes. SOFT will supply enough fly boxes to WaterWatch to hold all the flies. We will turn the flies and fly boxes over to WaterWatch for their processing. Again, any flies turned in after the second Tuesday in May will be carried over to the following year, but are still very much needed and appreciated.
